2. Information We Collect

When you book an appointment, we collect the following information:

• Full name — to identify your booking and address you professionally
• Email address — to send your booking confirmation, reminders, and any updates
• Phone number — to contact you about your appointment if needed
• Service notes — any health conditions or preferences you share voluntarily to help us personalize your session
• Booking history — service type, date, time, and price for each appointment

If you complete a paper intake and consent form in the studio, that form also collects:

• Health information — relevant medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, and recent surgery, so that your treatment can be adapted safely or postponed where it is not appropriate
• Your signed consent — a record of the treatment you agreed to, and the date
• Photograph permission — whether you have agreed to before-and-after photographs, and if so how they may be used. This is entirely optional and your treatment is unaffected by it

We do not collect your IP address for identification, run analytics that track you across websites, or sell your data to third parties.

3. Why We Collect This Information

We collect your personal information for the following purposes:

• To confirm and manage your appointment booking
• To send booking confirmation and cancellation emails
• To contact you if there is a change to your appointment
• To maintain financial records as required by Canadian tax law

We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or share it with advertising networks.

4. How Your Information Is Stored and Protected

Your information is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database. The database is not accessible from the public internet — only from our application server. All data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or 1.3 (HTTPS). Sensitive fields like email addresses have database-level indexes but are not stored in plain text in logs.

Paper forms: Intake and consent forms are completed on paper and are not entered into the database. They are kept in a locked cabinet at the studio, separately from your booking record, and are seen only by Ginny.

Payment data: All payments are collected in person on the day of your appointment. We do not collect, process, or store any card or payment credentials online.

Email delivery: Confirmation emails are sent via Resend (resend.com). Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering your booking email. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. How Long We Keep Your Information

How long we keep something depends on why we have it.

• Your booking details — name, email address, and phone number — are kept for a maximum of 2 years from the date of your appointment, then permanently removed from our records.
• Financial and service records (service type, date, amount) are kept for 7 years, to comply with Canadian tax record-keeping requirements under the Income Tax Act.
• Paper intake and consent forms, where you have completed one, are kept securely for 7 years from your last appointment — the same period as our financial records — and are then destroyed. These forms include the health information you gave us, and are stored separately from your booking details.

6. Your Rights Under PIPA and PIPEDA

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Withdrawal of consent — request that we delete your personal information (subject to the retention periods above for financial records and signed consent forms)
• Complaint — file a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC)

7. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels. The only external scripts loaded on our site are Google Fonts (for typography) and Google Maps (for our location embed). None of these are used to identify you across other websites.

8. Text Messages (SMS)

When you book an appointment you may tick an optional, unchecked box marked “Text me about this appointment”. This is never required — your booking completes normally without it, and you will still receive everything by email.

If you opt in, we send appointment messages only: a booking confirmation and a reminder on the day of your appointment. We never send marketing or promotional text messages.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out stops text messages only — your booking and email confirmations are unaffected.

Text messages are delivered by Twilio (twilio.com). Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering these messages. See Twilio’s privacy policy.

We keep a record of opt-out requests so that we do not text a number that has unsubscribed.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment with Lymph Sculpt by Ginny, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a booking.

2. Services

Lymph Sculpt by Ginny provides non-medical wellness services including Brazilian lymphatic drainage, wood therapy, vacuum therapy, cavitation, radio frequency, and laser lipo. These services are for general wellness purposes and are not a substitute for medical treatment. Clients with specific medical conditions should consult a physician before booking.

3. Booking and Payment

No payment is required at the time of booking. Full payment is collected in person on the day of your appointment. We accept cash, Interac, and all major credit cards in person.

4. Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows may affect future booking priority. Cancellations can be made via the "My Booking" page or by contacting us directly.

5. Health and Safety

Clients are responsible for disclosing any relevant medical conditions, recent surgeries, or contraindications before their session. Lymph Sculpt by Ginny reserves the right to refuse service if a session is deemed medically inappropriate for the client's safety.

6. Liability

Lymph Sculpt by Ginny is not liable for any adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed medical conditions. Results from treatments vary by individual. We do not guarantee specific outcomes.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
